2025 Arbor Day Winnipeg Atmos Tree Donation Tree Planting Event

Atmos Tree Arborist Alliance supports Community Tree Planting in Winnipeg Canada

At Atmos Tree, we believe that meaningful impact in arboriculture goes beyond individual programs and metrics—it’s also about supporting the broader community of organizations working to strengthen urban forests.

We’re proud to share that Atmos Tree Alliance proceeds were used to support the 2025 Arbor Day tree planting event at Henteleff Park in Winnipeg, a collaborative, community-driven initiative focused on growing a healthier, more resilient urban canopy.

A Community-Led Arbor Day Celebration

This year’s event takes place on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Henteleff Park (1964 St. Mary’s Road). The day centers around the planting of 100+ trees, while also offering educational booths, family-friendly activities, and opportunities for residents to connect with arborists and local environmental groups.

The event is organized by Trees Winnipeg, in partnership with the Henteleff Park Foundation and the City of Winnipeg, and is supported by a range of sponsors who share a commitment to urban tree stewardship.

How Atmos Tree Contributed

Rather than tying this contribution to a specific per-tree count, Atmos Tree provided a sponsorship-style charitable donation that helps make events like this possible—from planning and logistics to community engagement and on-the-ground planting efforts.

This approach reflects an important distinction in our work:

  • Our 2:1 tREeCYCLE® program ensures trees are planted in direct response to removals carried out by Alliance members.

  • Additional Alliance proceeds, like those used here, are intentionally reinvested into the arboriculture and urban forestry ecosystem—supporting education, community planting, and industry-aligned initiatives that strengthen the long-term health of trees and people alike.

Why Community Tree Planting Matters

Urban tree planting plays a vital role in:

Increasing canopy cover and biodiversity

  • Improving air quality and moderating urban heat

  • Enhancing soil health and stormwater management

  • Building community connection and environmental awareness

Events like this don’t just put trees in the ground—they cultivate stewardship, education, and shared responsibility for the landscapes we all depend on.

A Thank You to the Atmos Tree Alliance

This contribution was made possible by Atmos Tree Alliance members, whose participation and commitment allow us to reinvest beyond our core programs. By choosing to be part of the Alliance, members are helping fund initiatives that support the profession, the public, and the future of urban forests.

We’re grateful to stand alongside fellow sponsors and partners who made this event possible, including Tree Canada, Northbridge Financial, TD Friends of the Environment Foundation, and Assiniboine Credit Union.

Atmos Tree remains committed to reinvesting Alliance proceeds back into tree planting, education, and industry-supporting initiatives—because regenerative arboriculture thrives when we grow together.
